The basic concept of CHGP is nothing short of brilliant! As Danish classic car enthusiasts we ought to feel truly blessed that we have something like this in our Capital.
However, reality has a rather different flavour...
I too am no longer terribly impressed with CHGP. As you mention, there is way too much reckless driving with big crashes as a result, and furthermore there is also in my opinion too many modern or semi-modern cars invited to race during the weekend.
The Sixtyfivers race is fabulous, but other than that it's really only the amazing atmosphere at the ViaRETRO camp which is worth attending...
