Nice to see the 2400 back in the garage! Blame it on the tires? There is something to that with new style tires (and sizes) on classic cars. Check out Longstone tires for their perspective on carcass design and its effect on predicatable handling. My experience concurs with their advice. My memory recalls a tire engineer 30+ years ago laboring the point that the new tire designs were poor compromises at best on cars and their suspension designs from the 50's and 60's.

Absolutely - I buy all my tires over at Longstone. Excellent service and dedication. They also sold me the Avon CR6ZZ. A classic race/wet tire for GT40 and the like - but also available in 155-15".
